history

Hampton Cricket Club was formed in 2004 and following a series of friendlies in 2005, enjoyed our first season in league cricket in 2006. We were elected to Division 4 of the Hunts League and finished the season in a credible mid table position, playing 22 fixtures and winning 9 of them.

We are currently ground-sharing at Longthorpe whilst facilities are planned and developed at Hampton College, along Clayburn Road.

Our team is a diverse mix of experience and youth, but we are always looking for new players. For the upcoming 2007 season we hope to increase the number of fixtures and have a full range of friendly, midweek Twenty20, indoor and league games, so players of differing skill levels will get the opportunity to play.

Hampton CC is also looking to develop colts cricket and forge links with Hampton College, once the new facilities are provided. Our experienced players are developing their coaching, umpiring and groundsman skills in order to sustain development of the club.

We have a dynamic Executive Committee which are taking the club forward and are always looking for new players, sponsors or people to held out with fundraising, teas, umpiring and watching!
